Antec Atlas Quiet Mini Server Case Review

Hot on the heels of the Titan 550 release, Antec has provided us with the smaller of its server case line, the Atlas.  With the Atlas, Antec has scaled things down to more of a mid tower size.  The Atlas promises to deliver the same quality and features in a smaller package.  Do they deliver?  Read on to find out.

Antec provides some of the most understated packaging we have seen from a major manufacturer.  Their vision for the Atlas is clearly stated on the box: Impress, invent, imagine and inspire.

The Atlas shares many of the look found in the larger Titan 550.  The shiny black style may not have lights and windows but the all business look grows on you.

The front has a common layout with 3 x 5.25" bays and 1 convertible 5.25" bay in plain view.  The front ports include the now standard audio, 2x USB 2.0 and a IEEE 1394 port.  Without the Antec badge these ports are the only hint of color.  Black is beautiful!

Both sides are shiny, black and unadorned.  The left side contains mounting for an added 80 mm fan to aid with airflow over the card slots.  Each of the sides is held on by included thumb screws.

The back surface is dominated by the 120 mm TriCool exhaust fan.  The gold grill of the TruePower 2.0 power supply is in strong contrast to the rest of the build.
