If you have any background in building high quality custom computers you'll know there is one name in computer cases that is synonymous with quality, and that is Lian Li. Lian Li Industrial Co., LTD has been around since 1983, but we didn't become familiar with their products until eight years ago. At that time Lian Li blew the minds of custom builders all over the world with their revolutionary line of all aluminum PC chassis. Back then Lian Li cases were the highest quality cases money could buy. Lian Li was able to ride the wave of the case modifying craze and it didn't take long before everyone was either buying pre-modified Lian Li cases with awesome window mods or buying up stock cases to modify themselves. Nevertheless Lian Li cases were a HOT item and many of our sponsors at that time were making a killing off those babies.

So what has happened to Lian Li over the past 8 years? Well, Lian Li cases stayed hugely popular up through about 2004 and for some reason slowly lost their popularity. I believe this had a lot to do with the price level of Lian Li cases and the incredible level of competition coming from other companies. Although Lian Li has never gone away and their cases are still very popular, we just haven't seen a huge demand for them like there was back in the DIY case mod days. However, in the past few months we have seen a renewed push from Lian Li to show off some of their all new designs.

Today we have the honor of reviewing the new Lian Li PC-A7110, an all aluminum, full tower chassis that bears the message "The way you want it to be" right on the box. Years ago we compared every case we reviewed to Lian Li standards of quality. Will the ultra high levels of quality and workmanship still be evident in Lian Li's new case designs? Is it possible that all other case manufacturers will be held to the standards of Lian Li once again? There's only one way to find out so let's get to it...
