On the outside...

Although Lian Li has some nice stylish pre modified gaming cases, they have always been known more for their elegant and professional looking designs. Some people call this a "generic look", but I have to strongly disagree. Lian Li cases have always been a step above the rest and to call anything they make "generic" is insulting. You really have to get up close and personal with a Lian Li case to appreciate its design and quality.

The PC-A7110 is an all aluminum case with no major plastic parts. This alone is a major advantage over most cases. An all metal build means a much stronger chassis. The PC-A7110 has a nice front metal door to protect the drives as well as to help keep out the dust. This particular design is targeted more towards those in need of a high quality server tower, although the sleek and professional look is great for any desktop.

Even the front access door looks great and bears the Lian Li badge of honor. Notice the metal grill for increased air flow.

In the photo above the finish looks to have deep scratches. This is actually caused by the lighting and only become noticeable in photos. Every Lian Li case I have ever seen has a "hair-lined brushed anodized" aluminum finish which looks awesome in normal lighting, but looks scratched in photos. My other theory is that the horizontal markings are actually roll marks in the aluminum itself that are created at the mill as the aluminum sheets are pressed out. Regardless, the horizontal markings are only visible with a camera flash and these particular photos are not a good representation of the actual finish in normal lighting.

As we move to the back side of the case we see several features not found in most other cases. The PC-A7110 has pre installed rubber grommets for running water cooling, a metal wire fan guard, and dual power supply bays. With dual bays it is possible to run a redundant power supply system, although there is only one included power supply adapter. In reality, the top bay is simply for relocating the power supply to the top of the chassis. The PC-A7110 also has a tool free design and you'll find thumbscrews instead of regular screws throughout the chassis.
