Antazone AS-C1000 Universal CPU Cooler Review

Today we will be taking a look at the latest universal CPU cooler form Antazone; the AS-C1000.  With an all copper construction and an innovative heat pipe design, Antazone wants the AS-C1000 to be your next high performance cooler.  We put the AS-C1000 through the paces right here.

Although Antazone is a new name around the Club, they have a wide range of coolers, cases and power supplies out that are beginning to make a splash globally.

Not only is the box attractive but it offers a wealth of information on the product.  From a look at the actual heatsink to the thermal imaging of the AS-C1000 in action, everything you need to know is there.  They even show the install process.  Many larger manufacturers should be taking notes here!

Out of the box the AS-C1000 looks just as good.  We have seen the turbine style before but the all copper construction brings on the Bling!

From the side you can really see the three heat pipes.  Each goes up and around the circle of heat sinks terminating at the top.  The surrounding shell is nicely sculpted and can hold up to two 80 mm fans.  (Only one is included.)

From the back you can really see the radial pattern of each interlocking copper fin.  I am not sure if a radial pattern is as effective as the popular tower style but it sure looks nice.

In addition to the cooler its self, the package also includes heat sink goop, mounting hardware and two sheets of instructions in full color to cover the multiple install methods.

Features:

  • The latest innovative product in the CPU - Cooler market

  • The advanced technology of the thermal theory for higher performance

  • The patented new design of heat pipe for higher efficiency of the heat dissipation

  • The latest industrial design of the circular fan

  • Compatible with Universal Retention Module for Intel Pentium 4, LGA 775, AMD K8 and K7 (Socket A)

  • Easy Installation

Specifications:

Socket Type Socket 775/478/K7/K8
Heat Sink Diameter 40 x 40 x 5 mm
Heat Sink Material Copper fins with copper base
Fan Dimension 9525 mm
Fan Speed 2200 rpm
Fan Air Flow 49.8 cfm
Fan Air Pressure 261 mmAq
Fan Life Expectancy 70,000 H
Noise Level 25 dBA
Connector 3 pin
Thermal Resistance 0.22 K/w

To get a better idea of the actual size of our AS-C1000, I have compared it to the AMD X2 and Intel Pentium D stock heat sinks above.  While far from the largest heat sink we have tested, the AS-C1000 is much larger than your stock cooler.
