FlexiGlow Fx Game Pad

Our new friends over at Max Distribution just sent us a new toy to play with! This time they sent over a FlexiGlow Fx Game Pad. This is no ordinary mouse pad, this one is a USB powered mouse pad that lights up! We've seen lighted mouse pads before, but this one is much larger for gaming, and has 8 LED functions so you can choose your favorite color! That's not all...this baby has DISCO MODE!

Specs:

  • 7 Colors options in one pad choices
  • Eight function is automatic cycle through the seven colors
  • Incredible lit up bubble effect
  • Gaming enthusiast approved mousing surface
  • Terrific night time illumination – ideal for LAN parties
  • Low power consumption LED lights
  • USB Cable 1.8m
  • Slick mousing surface that works well with both Ball and Optical Mice
  •      The mouse pad has a very nice surface that works with both roller and optical mice. The pad is also raised just enough to make it comfortable on the wrist. As far as slippage goes, there isn't any with this baby! The Fx Game Pad has four very large rubber feet that griped my desk like glue. Previous lighted pads were small and pretty much worthless for gaming, but the Fx Game Pad is oversized and designed just for the gamer.

To activate the lights, there is a little push button at the top of the mouse pad. Every other time you press the button, the lights turn off. It continues to do this as you cycle through the light options. The only problem with this button is the location. It's actually within the mouse surface area. The pad could have been designed a little better by moving the button up to the very top edge of the pad. However, after playing UT2004 for a couple hours, the button location didn't seem to be an issue at all.

    Conclusion

The FlexiGlow Fx Game Pad is a very nice mouse pad, even without the lights. With the lights, it has got to be one of the coolest things since the case light mod fad first started! Speaking of case lights, if you're into light mods, no computer is complete without one of these things. Who would ever thought you could mix a light mod with a mouse pad and still make it functional...
