GigaByte GV-N62128DE

Usually, the focus on video cards is on the flagship model. Cards like the X850XT Platinum Edition from ATI, and the new 7800GTX from nVidia tend to steal the show. However, there is a broad spectrum of gamers out there and video cards for every niche of them. The X850XT's and the 7800GTX's are for the gamers who will spare no expense to have the highest frame count.  With each step down the ladder, there is a measurable hit to performance, but there's also a noticeable savings in money. You simply have to determine your needs and weigh your options.

GigaByte is among the many manufacturers who have expanded their product line to cover the entire line of products from nVidia. From the "Full Throttle" 7800 series down to this mainstream product, the GeForce 6200. Classed as a mainstream GPU, the 6200 is posed to occupy the AGP slot in your typical budget system build. As we'll see, the 6200 goes well with Small Form Factor computers, with its relatively small footprint, and negligible power requirements. Being labeled a budget system does not mean it has to be totally lacking in its ability to play games either. nVidia has toned down the 6200 quit a bit from its high end Graphics Processing Units, but its still quite capable of handling a good number of modern software titles.
