Crucial System Scanner

The Bundle:

The HD4870 is securely packaged.  There isn't a lot of wasted space and all of the accessories are separated in their own compartment.

The Sapphire HD4870 Toxic comes loaded with software.  Sapphire included the full DVD suite from Cyberlink, PowerDVD, Rudy ROM and the full version of 3Dmark Vantage.  The package also included a CrossfireX bridge interconnect, DVI to HDMI adapter, DVI to VGA adapter, HDTV Component out adapter and a couple of power adapters.

Layout:

You can see that the Toxic version is still a two slot design.  Most people are used to that on high end cards.  However, the Vapor-X cooler completely destroys the reference heatsink design.

The back of the card features 2, dual link DVI-I ports and a video out.  I don't know what it is, but I like the contrast between the gloss black heatsink cover and the copper heatpipes.

Even though the card is energy efficient, you still need two, 6-pin PCI-Express power cables for each card.  AMD recommends at least a 600 watt power supply, if you plan on running two cards.

The holes are standard if for some reason you want to add your own aftermarket cooler.  If you do, slap yourself and then send all of your money to me.
